Our Policies

Returns, exchanges and fees

Due to the nature of our handmade jewellery, we do not accept returns or exchanges.

Any deposits, partial payments, and rush fees are non-refundable.

Nicola Lauren cannot accept responsibility for customs/duties and taxes charged on receipt. We suggest that international clients research your countries customs duties and taxes before purchase.

Production times

Each Nicola Lauren piece is hand crafted with care and most pieces are made to order.

Anything on our website that says "ready to ship" is currently in stock and available for purchase.

All of our One of a Kind rings are also ready to ship and available for immediate purchase.

If you've purchased a ready to ship, or a one of a kind ring from us and it needs to be sized, please allow one to two weeks for resizing.

With made to order pieces, please allow for two to three weeks production time for solid gold jewellery, and up to four weeks production time for pieces requiring diamond setting.

If you are interested in custom design and would like to work with Nicola to create a custom piece such as an engagement ring, the custom process may take up to eight weeks from design finalization to completion.

Sizing & repairs

If your custom ring doesn’t fit you just right, don’t fret! We will size it once for you within one month of purchase at no additional cost.

We understand that sometimes things happen! If your custom jewellery loses a diamond or gemstone within six months of purchase, we will replace one small stone (2mm diameter and under) at no additional cost. We recommend that you insure your precious jewellery in the unlikely event of any loss or damage of larger side stones and centre stones.

Any diamonds or gemstones that are lost or broken beyond six months after purchase are subject to the client’s own wear and tear, and will be repaired at our studio incurring fees. Please visit our jewellery care page for tips on how to keep your pieces looking their absolute best.

Our warranty covers any minor repairs needed within the first three months of purchase.

Any additional repairs to our handmade jewellery are assessed on a case-by-case basis and labour fees may be charged according to the specific repairs needed.

Jewellery repairs may take a week – four weeks, depending on the size of the job and repairs needed.

Allergies

Metal selection is a client’s own personal choice. While we use the best alloys for strength, durability and colour, we cannot guarantee our gold is hypo-allergenic.

Rose gold contains higher levels of copper to achieve the warmer rosy colour. Some people may experience a skin sensitivity to rose gold.

White gold does contain nickel. If you have a known nickel allergy, please contact us prior to purchase to discuss alternative options we can offer you.

We do not rhodium plate our white gold and do not recommend doing so as a preventative option for any nickel allergies.
